I drank too much coffee and now I'm jittery. Here's a collection of things I like today (ci piace!) as I can't seem to choose just one.
I love the Sartorialist and the fabulous fashion finds that make me miss European dress.
I stayed over Liz & Steve's house last night and two of Liz's new paintings were resting in my yellow guest room. I really love the apples and want her to make me a copy so I can put it in my new kitchen in September.
When I get on a food kick I tend to overdo it, but I really can't stop eating this cucumber soup. It's so fresh and crisp and perfect for lunch with a chunk of crusty bread and a nice slice of brie.
Cold Cucumber Soup (adapted from the Real Simple recipe)
serves 1-2
1 large cucumber
1/4 cup light sour cream
several sprigs fresh mint
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp fresh black pepper
pinch (or more) cayenne
Chop the cucumber and toss with the salt, pepper, cayenne and mint. Drop into a blender and add the sour cream. Blend until smooth. Chill and serve with a dollop of sour cream on top!
And last but certainly not least, I have a video for you. My jazzercise girls know how to party, and we celebrated every holiday with rousing games and costumes and beer after class. Here's a taste of our Christmas party. We were playing the Italian version of Bingo, tombola, and I kept winning! They couldn't take it anymore so they started singing this soccer chant, telling me to "GO BACK TO BOSTONNNN, MARISSA GO BACK TO BOSTONNNN!" I love their sass.

i LOVE the paintings!
