I'm always experimenting with updos even though I should really find the patience to let my curls loose sometimes. This was one experiment that turned out quite well, if I do say so myself: the french braided side bun. A tutorial is in the works!
Next, you must know that 41 degrees might as well be Siberia here, seeing as how the good people of Barletta are used to their mild 60 degree winters and steamy 104 degree summers. Everyone is wrapped up tight in their fur coats (the old ladies) and hats and scarves and mittens and floor-length puffy jackets. The poor children can scarcely move they're bundled up so tight (think the little brother in A Christmas Story), and anyone on a daily basis might tell you to, "Cover up! Or you'll get sick!"
That being said, the cold weather has been making for a really beautiful sky.
Last, but certainly not least, is the gloriously AMAZING holiday package that my dearest darling Britt sent me from the states. When I opened it I yelped, "CHEEZ-ITS!" Manu referred to them as "those really good salty things," and he now adores them even more than "bretzels."
P.S. The cleanse I mentioned is going very well in that I only had one hershey's kiss-sized piece of chocolate yesterday! (Baby steps, people.)

I love the side braid! Can't wait for the tutorial and then I will also have a go at it :)
ReplyDeleteThat package looks incredible - one big huge dose of American-ness right there!

You look so BEAUTIFUL, and the earrings and lipstick complement the look so perfectly ;)
ReplyDeleteThat side bun is adorable. I can't wait for the tutorial. And, yes, cheez-its are amazing. So much so--that I don't buy them haha because I will eat them in ridiculous amounts. :)

ReplyDeleteooh your updo really turned out very cute! Wish I had thick enough hair to do it like that. And hah, sounds like Barletta is a bit like Greece...everyone thinks 50 is freezing and they refuse to get out!
ReplyDeleteI LOVE this updo! It looks great. And the cleanse sounds like it's going well. Better than mine at least! : )
ReplyDeleteHahahahaha, so cute! I'm loving your hair! It's awesome!
ReplyDeleteP.S. giveaway on the bloggy blog blog!
I'm really loving that side braid! I can't wait for the tutorial. I'm growing out my hair (chopped off 11.5 inches last February) so once I get it to a good length I would love to try something like this out! Thanks for sharing xox

haha you might catch a cold.
ReplyDeleteLOVE the updo!! Awesome job. I'm trying to manage my curly hair better…but to be blunt I suck at it. I touch it too much, brush it when it's wet..basically everything you shouldn't do…I do it.
I'm going to have to do some digging and read about this cleanse...
Only one Hershey's Kiss would be show SERIOUS austerity in my book!
ReplyDeleteYour hair looks absolutely beautiful! Nice job. And what a fun present to receive!
