[Barbara was so excited!]this Real Simple recipe for the cake and frosting and I wouldn't change it a bit! For the fancy piping without a real piping bag, all you have to do is take a piece of parchment paper and wind it into a cone shape, keeping the opening at about a 1/2 inch circle. Scoop a spoonful of the frosting inside and squeeze down until it reaches the tip of the bag. Be sure to keep your top hand firmly pressed on the bag or else frosting will come out the top! (see picture 4). Keep a steady hand and make sure to frost only cooled cupcakes, or else the frosting will melt.
