I have a special treat for all you interior design lovers today: a tour of my future sister-in-law Cinzia's kitchen! Three years ago she was still living at home, and now she's married with a brand new house, a baby and another on the way. (She's good at multi-tasking.) Her kitchen is one of her favorite parts of the house because she isn't banished to another room (as most Italian kitchens are closed-off). She loves the light, the openness, the color and how much counter space there is!
[that futuristic looking thing is an air vent that comes down slowly to ventilate while you're cooking!]
So what do you think? Are Italian kitchens that much different than American ones?
A big grazie to Cinzia for letting me invade her kitchen today!
i think its so gorgeous!!!
ReplyDeleteWow, she has a beautiful kitchen! I love how open and modern it is :) And the air vent is just awesome.

That kitchen is the perfect kitchen for food blogging!! In France for some reason, many kitchen have no cabinetry which is kind of weird.
ReplyDeleteWell Cinzia's kitchen is DEF more spacious and gorgeous than mine is! I'm positively in love with it!

ReplyDeleteyes, they love the modern here! i know, i love the air vent too, it's hilarious when it comes down!
ReplyDeleteman, what i wouldn't give for a kitchen like that to food blog in! so much light and space! one day...
ReplyDeleteshe'll be psyched when i tell her! :) dude, you've seen mine right? it's a shoebox basically. i would LOVE to have this much space!
ReplyDeleteooh a big red fridge sounds super fun!
ReplyDeleteactually, I was going to say that this looks like an American kitchen! I've never seen an Italian kitchen, but I've seen lots of English and French kitchens (and one Spanish kitchen) and they're all much smaller and darker and less modern. In my experience, when Europeans say they want an American kitchen, they mean that they want light and space and openness and all the mod cons! Too funny.
ReplyDeleteSOOOO jealous of this kitchen, this is my perfect euro kitchen
ReplyDeleteThe beau and I watch a whole lot fo House Hunters International so I loved seeing her kitchen! And it's such a gorgeous one at that!

Ooooo, what a cool kitchen! I love all the clean lines!
ReplyDeleteyes, I think that it looks different than most american kitchens, but i really like it especially the white shiny cabinets!
ReplyDeleteIt's heaven! If I lived there I'm sure I would spend all of my time in that kitchen!
ReplyDeleteThat's a very lovely kitchen. I may not be comfortable with an open range like that (I tend to splatter as I cook) but at least she's not staring at a wall
