1) Aveeno Smoothing Pomegranate + Rice Body Wash - Kate had this in the shower for me when I returned from the boot, and I am obsessed with the smell and the silky soft way it makes your skin feel.
2) Maybelline Cherry Me Baby Lips Balm - Britt brought this when she came to visit and I adore it. Let's face it, I'll be 50 one day and still wearing cherry chapstick. It's the best.
3) Burt's Bee's Super Shiny Grapefruit & Sugar Beet Conditioner - I'm a curly girl, and usually stick to my curly-only products, but I love this! It's sulfate-free and makes your hair so soft and shiny. Like, noticeably.
4) St. Ives Apricot Scrub - Another classic, this scrub will always be a staple of mine. It's cheap, it's refreshing and I need to smuggle some in my checked bag when I go back.
5) Korres Fig Body Butter - I think just saying "Fig Body Butter" makes me feel luxurious. (Sidenote: Trader Joe's makes fig butter!)
6) Jo Malone Orange Blossom Cologne - I have a sample of this right now (because it's $110 for 3.4 ounces, no TY) and I'm trying to make it last.
7) The Body Shop Satsuma Shower Gel - And last but certainly not least, my favorite product of all time, which needs no description, except that it smells like the rainforest and a citrus grove combined in your shower.
Do you have a favorite food-turned-beauty product that you love? Let me know in the comments!
P.S. It's Wednesday, so that means a new recipe and my favorite comment of the week will be up on the fb page!

I love that Apricot Scrub. I also use this cucumber facial toner that smells like fresh cucumbers. Funny, I just posted about my fave products yesterday. Us ladies and our beauty routines. LOL

ReplyDeletei don't have any that are specifically food products, but i am newly obsessed with coconut oil (which you CAN cook with, of course!) i use it as a lotion and on my hair...my hairdresser told me it would make my hair grow faster, and i love the smell. it's really moisturizing.
ReplyDeletealso, one of my favorite face masks is a simple mixture of oatmeal, egg white, and honey. totally tightens up your pores!
st. ives all the way! im also a huge fan of bumble and bumbles cocoa hair masque:

use it once a week and your hair smells AMAZING and looks shiney too!
that sounds incredible! i'm getting it! my curls need a nice hair masque every once in a while. :)
ReplyDeletei need to get on this coconut oil train! it seems like nature's solution to everything. and i MUST try your mask! do you add any water? and how much honey?
ReplyDeletethis is such a fun post! i actually tend to gravitate towards natural and organic products anyway so by default a lot of them end of being kind of "foodie."
ReplyDeletetoday's post (on my blog) is my first "fall" post of the season and, for some reason, it reminded me of the post I did for you last year - how time flies!http://lachapstickfanatique.blogspot.com
I love this! I buy all my shower things based on how delicious it sounds. Mango scent for shaving cream? Bring it! I'm going to start using coconut oil for my skin- I've heard amazing things about it.
ReplyDeleteoh my goodness - I use the Aveeno fig body wash and love it! I have to stop myself from inhaling my skin all day :)
ReplyDeleteThe shower is my thinking place too!! I love it.
ReplyDeletexoxo,

ReplyDeletei know what you mean...the shoulder-smelling! haha!
ReplyDeleteyes! and you can cook with it. win win. :)
ReplyDeletethat's true about organic products! WOW i can't believe that was a year ago!
ReplyDeleteCaudalie has amazing products! The body scrub is lovely! Pacifica also has an incredible kona coffee scrub amongst other lotions and shower gels. Great lip balms... oh you have to get something from Fresh! A little pricey, but affordable sets! :)
ReplyDeleteOh, love the Jo Malone fragrances! Orange Blossom is one of my favourites!
Deletelike a big glob of honey...you don't need much water, because of the egg white, but maybe a few drops. you can blend it in the blender or just do it in a little bowl.
