It's surreal to be back in my childhood room, in my pretty, little house after so many months. (Ten, to be exact.) It's never been so long in my life. Everything feels different yet at the same time, unchanged. Heck, I feel different, yet at the same time unchanged. Maybe it's because I'm a real adult, with the impending wedding and all, but no matter what, this little house will always make me feel like a kid again. I'm so happy, grateful, and excited for a summer at home! Now if you'll excuse me, jet lag and I have a date with the bed, and it's only 8 p.m.

Such a charming and beautiful place. Have a wonderful time reconnecting.

Oh man, I know that feeling! Whenever I go back to the US everything feels foreign and exactly the same, it's such a surreal concept, like being a foreigner in your own country. I have to stop myself form saying "bonjour" everytime I walk into a shop, or "pardon" if I bump into someone. Have a great time at home! And PS that backyard is beautiful!
ReplyDeleteWelcome home Marissa! There's no place like it :)
