Head to a beach on the south side with some crazy-high waves and crack up as you fall down, face down, flat on the sand and more waves fall over you. Your pregnant friend has to help you up. You play paddleball for hours and eat peanut butter and jelly. It's reverting to childhood at its best.
Take in the majestic clay cliffs at Aquinnah - where Wampanoags used to roam freely.
Take an evening stroll in Oak Bluffs and marvel at the candy-colored gingerbread cottages, fishing boats, drunk people on vacation and the myriad places to eat bowls of fresh chowder.
And if you're really lucky, your sad boat ride home will be made sweeter by by a sliver of a moon and an apricot sunset.
Thank you, Martha's Vineyard, for an incredible weekend!
