i'll have what he's having

When it comes to eating in America, Manu has no issues. In fact, he's very much a huge fan. While other Italians scoff and proclaim that their food is the best, Manu gladly digs in. Yes, you can imagine that I love him for that.
"This menu is daunting...Marissa, just get me some eggs please, and those really good potato things."
Challenging translations: "food truck" and "smoothie."
Hot sauce is a revelation on this trip and he has been putting it on everything. Here's his hot sauced chicken salad that he loved so much he had to savor it in three sittings.
Me: "Manu, which is your favorite?" Manu: "Favorite? You can't say this." So true.
We're off today on a three-day Cape adventure including a day trip to the Vineyard tomorrow! A presto! (See you soon!)

So funny - I can imagine that 'food truck' is a difficult one to translate! I think there are still some people in this country who still can't grasp the concept of good food on wheels! Have fun on your getaway!

I love Manu's attitude! Is there any food here that he doesn't like? & my husband puts hot sauce on every single thing at home!

  24. Gregory is the exact same in the States and it makes me SO happy! He tries everything, loves everything (except barbecued pulled pork) and now defends American food to any French person who dares insults it! He says, "it's not all fast food you know!". I love him for that :)
