When Manu's here we miraculously have amazing things happen to us - see this week's posts - and last night was no exception. Sweet seats to the Red Sox landed in our laps and we made a whole night of it. First, there was excellent beer and sandwiches at Bukowski Tavern near the park. Then we got on the JUMBOTRON during the seventh inning stretch (a first for me and SO exciting, you have no idea!) Then we hung out at Church for a post-game nightcap.
i, unfortunately, hate baseball. perhaps it's because my boyfriend played baseball in college and then was drafted so i've been to like...more baseball games that i care to admit. Manu's right, it is boring. lol!

ReplyDelete"Is boring, baseball" = adorable syntax. Although I really enjoy going to baseball games, I agree that the game is boring. Funny, though, how I always want to stay until the end, and my husband, who played baseball during his whole childhood is like, "can we go now?" during the 5th inning or so. Never been to Fenway, only my hometown "Petco Park" in downtown San Diego. Jealous of your jumbotron experience!!
ReplyDeleteI come from a long line of Red Sox fans but the New Yorker in me will always be a Yankee (can we still be friends?) so I have never made it to the Green Monster. Your night looks like it was loads of fun though. Does Manu know how lucky you guys were to get the good seats and be on the Jumbotron? Was it the kiss cam???

ReplyDeleteyessss i guess we can still be friends! nope, no kiss cam but my theory is that they saw how good looking we were and just HAD to get us up there. :) haha! and yes, gregory needs to go to feel it before he decides! i mean, once he has a real ballpark hot dog he'll be hooked!
