our new street

Mamma mia, I love our new street! Unlike our last location (historical center) this is the heart of the city and we have so much near our apartment! For example, in the two-block radius that surrounds us, we have: a fruit and vegetable guy, a bread bakery, a deli, a supermarket, a coffee bar, a home trinket store, and my phone carrier! I could never leave our neighborhood, basically! And I’ve made friends with all the shopkeepers too, which is what you have to do to get the deluxe treatment in Italy. :)
 Our neighbors have great plants!
Last night I went out with my girls Barbara and Chicchetta and we had a fabulous time catching up and sipping my new favorite red wine that you serve cold! (Fichimori, by Tormaresca, if you’re interested.) Today I have a bunch of appointments and this afternoon I start teaching. Phew. It’s been a whirlwind few days and I’m exhausted. As Manu told me last night, I have “ the jet land.” Classic.

This is fabulous. And that shuttered building across from yours is precisely what I imagine when I think of Italy. Can't wait to hear more! xoxo
