A coffee date with a friend brought me out into the world of Barletta early this morning, and my senses were buzzing. Shopkeepers swept front stoops preparing to open for the day, fathers and mothers accompanied children with backpacks down the street, clinking teaspoons stirred sugar into espresso and I smiled all the way down Corso Vittorio Emanuele, through narrow side streets, and all the way to the sunny outdoor bar nestled in the piazza.
Apricot jam-filled croissant and steamy espressino (espresso + frothy milk). Buon giorno, mondo!

Early morning in any city is my favorite time of the day. I love the sights & sounds of a city waking up! What I wouldn't do for that apricot croissant right now! Have a great day :)
