And so I finally got a move on, my friends. And let me just tell you that I practically planned everything there was to plan this week. Manu bought his suit. (And spent more than me, but that's an Italian man for you.) I found a hairdresser. The invitations are being made. The candied almonds that are so important at Italian functions are picked out. The bureaucratic things are done. The guest list is finalized. The church music is chosen. Even some elements of the American wedding in August are done.
Sometimes all it takes is a tap on your shoulder from the universe to stop procrastinating. Which, I admit, is a fault of mine. Now that big things are done, I feel as if three months from now is creeping up on me, happily, and the little butterflies of excitement are starting to grow! Even Manu couldn't contain his excitement, last night doing a little dance in the kitchen singing, "My housewifeeee, you are soon my housewifeeee!"
A little story about the snippet of my veil, up there. It's my mom's, from her wedding, and the lovely lady at the bridal shop where we found my dress repurposed it for me. It's my "something old" and I'm more than honored to wear it. :)
Buon weekend, my friends!

I would say that is an extremely productive week .

ReplyDeleteBeautiful veil. And what a great family tradition to start - you can pass it on to your daughter too! I love that Manu is so stoked. The bf is too. He woke me up this morning by saying, "Happy-last-first-day-after-valentine's-day-until-we're-married!!" :)
